It All Began with a Story
Song of the Cardinal began in the quiet aftermath of loss — a glimmer of hope and comfort that arrived on the wings of a red bird.
One Facebook story led to another. And another.
Friends leaned in. They wanted more.
What emerged was a story of grief, resilience, and the unexpected ways guidance can arrive when we are most open — and most broken.
I never imagined it would become a #1 bestseller, earn national recognition, or resonate with thousands of readers around the world.
I only knew it was true.

For many, this book has become a companion — and a source of inspiration — a reminder that even in the darkest of times, light can shine through.
And that when we're ready...we can begin again.

A Story of Loss, Healing, Creativity & Transformation
For more than three decades, I worked alongside hospitals and healthcare teams as they navigated crisis, strengthened systems, and moved through complex transitions. It was meaningful work — grounded, human, and deeply impactful.
Then, at age 48, everything changed.
My husband died unexpectedly, and in an instant the life I knew disappeared.
Grief cracked me open. And I quickly realized that the tools I had used to guide organizations through disruption were not enough to guide me through my own. Grief revealed old patterns, limiting beliefs, and fears I had never fully faced.
And beneath all of that… something else began to rise.
A voice.
A story.
A creative spark I had never allowed myself to follow.
I began to write — first for survival, then for meaning, and then because the words themselves were leading me somewhere new. What started as private reflection became Song of the Cardinal — a memoir of loss and unexpected guidance that would go on to reach far beyond anything I imagined.
But the creative current didn’t stop there.
Music emerged — seven original songs written and recorded as part of my healing.
A new way of seeing my work emerged.
A new way of serving others emerged.
And somewhere in the middle of it all, I realized something essential:
My personal transformation was not separate from my professional life.
It was the doorway to what came next.
Today, I weave together everything I’ve lived — the strategist, the advisor, the creative, the teacher, the intuitive, the woman who rebuilt her life from the inside out — to walk alongside others as they navigate their own seasons of change.
If you find yourself standing at a threshold — personally or professionally — you’re not alone.
And...you are welcome here.
A Musical Memoir
Grief to Grace
Release Date - 01/21/26
What began as a season of writing for survival slowly opened into something I never expected.
A songwriter’s journey.
Seven original songs that carry the same arc as the book — grief, eternal connection, spiritual awakening, and the possibility of what comes next.
Grief to Grace is not about loss alone.
It’s about what can grow out of loss when we allow ourselves to be surprised by beauty — even in the midst of heartbreak.
What Emerged along the Way
After decades of leadership work — and a deeply personal journey through grief, creativity, and renewal — I came to understand something that surprised me.
My work is no longer confined to a single role or discipline.
It lives in the space where experience, intuition, and creativity meet.
Over time, I discovered that part of how I serve others is through what I create —
stories that give language to the unspeakable,
music that carries emotion when words fall short,
and spaces where people feel seen, connected, and less alone.
Alongside that creative work, I continue to draw on years of professional experience — bringing clarity, steadiness, and perspective to moments of transition, both personal and organizational.
Today, my work sits at the intersection of:
-
strategic clarity
-
emotional intelligence
-
intuitive insight
-
and courageous creativity
Together, these threads shape how I create — and how I stay present as I walk alongside others in their own seasons of change.
