Music to your ears, healing for your heart.

First it was a song arriving at the perfect moment.
Then piano lessons.
Then seven original songs.

Welcome to the story of how music moved from the background of my life to center stage on my journey of healing and rediscovery.

Read on to see how reclaiming a buried passion—or discovering an entirely new one—can change your life in unimaginable ways.

I Thought I Needed Singing Lessons

The Universe Knew I Needed Something Else

When I contacted The Brothers Koren for lessons to overcome my fear of singing in front of others, they gently guided me in a slightly different direction. After a courageous moment of saying “yes,” I embarked on a Songwriter’s Journey of self-discovery and creative vulnerability. I gave my heart and soul to them through deeply personal inner work—and they gave it back to me in song: seven beautiful melodies that “coincidentally” carried the emotional arc of Song of the Cardinal, my “grief to grace” memoir.

I wrote the lyrics for all seven songs and then stepped into their recording booth—still terrified to sing in front of others and armed with only two “singing lessons” in my back pocket:

“Dare to Suck!”
and
“Don’t focus on how you sound. Focus on how you feel.”

I emerged from the recording booth changed in ways I still can’t explain. But I can say this: the quest to overcome a fear of singing became a liberation from the fear of living unapologetically as myself—and it reached a deeply embedded layer of grief that nothing else could.

In the end…
It was never about singing.
It was about healing.

I Believe...

...in the transformative power of story and the healing nature of creativity.

Song of the Cardinal, my debut memoir, continues to resonate with readers seeking hope, connection, and meaning after loss.

My music was born from that same journey—an artistic expression of love, eternal connection, healing, and possibility.

It’s my hope that the story and songs offer both comfort and inspiration—encouraging you to reconnect with the gifts, talents, and passions waiting inside.

It’s never too late.

I started piano lessons, published my first book, recorded a music album, and made a profound shift in my career… all in my late 50s.

For you, it may be dusting off your sketch pad, tending a garden, creating a new recipe…

It doesn't have to be herculean. It just has to be you...saying yes to your heart's desire.

And then sit back and feel the magic unfold!
